Another thing I need to do is to start drinking my lemonade earlier in the day. I have never been much of a morning eater and for some reason this carried over to my lemonade drinking. I would have the first one around noon an end up drinking the majority of the liquid in the PM. Then I would get a huge burst of energy and not want to go to bed. I figure it is much better to be peaking in the afternoon and let myself fizzle out by the evening and hopefully get a good and an early sleep.
One thing I have not done is weigh myself. My normal weight is around 103 lbs. I have always been on the small side and I eat a lot, I just usually eat pretty healthfully. But now by the way my clothes fit I believe I am around 10 lbs heavier than that. I wrote about this on Day 1 but I will summarize quickly by saying it was a combination of my quitting my job and being at home all day, quitting smoking, Holiday munching in a bad way and just some bad choices.
So I don't really care what my start weigh was, I just know where I want to end up. I will probably weigh myself around day 10 or 12 and see where I am at. I think the first week, you can fluctuate as your body gets used to the salt water etc. I think it is funny when people are so excited that they lost 4 lbs or so in the first 2 days and wonder why it is slowing down to 1/2 a lb to 1 lb a day.
The first 2 days mostly what you are losing is (to be gross) feces. And some water weight. Not that it is a bad thing! It is so good for your body to catch up with that elimination. Then your body needs to burn off its glycogen reserves first before you are burning fat.

During this time the body will use its glycogen (sugar) reserves that are stored in the muscle and liver cells. These glycogen reserves are mobilized to provide the central nervous system, including the brain, with its normal fuel, glucose.
Were it not for the body’s ability to switch fuels, where the body switches from glucose to fat metabolism, therapeutic fasting could not take place. The body’s protein reserves would be quickly depleted.
Fortunately, this is not a problem. In fact, within ten hours from the last meal approximately 50% of muscle fuel is coming from fat. Even the brain itself begins to shift over the fat metabolism. The consumption of protein reserves decreases from 75 grams per day at the beginning of a fast to just 20 grams a day by the end of the second week.
As you can see, excess activity including excess emotional stress could increase the body’s fuel needs, interfering with the optimum adaptation to the fasting state.
Body reserves differ from individual to individual. But a “typical” 155-pound male at normal weight has enough reserves to fast for between two to four months. If the fast were allowed to continue beyond the individual’s reserves, starvation would ensue and serious damage and eventually death would occur.

I've found your blog just now. I was looking for some recipes that i would prepare after the Master Cleansing. I wanted also to send you an hello from France where i am currently, and from where i am also following this diet since 8 days too.
But today, I feel mostly tired and a bit grumpy. I do not use the SWF every morning cause i did before starting the diet the Shankhpralana exercice which is a combinasion of a cleaning with Salt Water and Yoga movement. I don't know if you ve heard about it, you have do that up you have flushed all your dejection. After doing this i immediatly started with the master cleansing without any difficulties. The only difficulties i have is my mood today and my parents who really don't get me in this adventure.
Anyway, i plan to do it up to 30 days....
I'd like to follow you during your diet and know what kind of meal are you going to prepare after. Can you suggest me some?
One thing was interesting for me to observe, is that i'am not a very good cooker, but i'am surprised by my will to learn and prepare some meal. I'am even more surprised to be able to follow my friend buying there food and still be straight in my diet. that's a funny experience to go in the supermaket for nothing, and today i went there to start to buy some ingredient for the after diet.

What kind of diet do you want to follow after the cleanse? Do you just want to eat more healthfully, or do you want to do some sort of raw or vegetarian diet?
I have lots of idea's but right now I have discovered that the less I think about food the better. I find that once I start thinking about food too much my stomach begins to grumble. So when it gets closer to the end, I will start writing about it. I am definitely going 21 days. When I reach that, depending on how I feel I may go 30. So we will be right around the same place.
I think that doing the SWF is still important, even if you feel like you cleansed completely before. I was eating a mostly raw fruit and veg diet along with some whole wheat pasta and taking Triphala to cleanse as much as I could before the diet. I am on day 9 and I am STILL passing some solids!
As for the parents, that must be hard. Especially with you living in France. I know how important food is there!
Every day seems to get a bit easier, except for the odd curveball. But any discomfort seems to go away the next day. Hang in there and keep in touch! I want to know about your progress and maybe we can talk food later.
